Our Story
Born out of our love of fine wines and delicious food, Vinny's Cafe has become the premiere location for fine home-style Italian cuisine. The Scotto family has been serving Baltimore since 1976. Vincenzo (Vinny) Scotto arrived in Brooklyn NY in 1974. It was there that he learned the pizza business from his Uncle. In 1976 Vinny moved to Baltimore MD where he and his family met the "Minnie" family -the owners of "Marco's" on Holabird Ave. Vincenzo worked for the Minnie family and one day was proposed to buy and takeover "Marco"s. This was the start of our family's new home on Holabird Ave.
The Scotto family continued the great reputation of Marco's from 1981-1991. Serving up "Big Monster Meatball in the Heel" and famous Italian cold cuts. In 1991 the Scotto family sold Marco's and moved back to Italy. In 1996 after moving back to Baltimore, Marco Minnie and Vincenzo started building Vinny's Cafe by hand. After 3 long years of hard work the two completed "Vinnys Cafe". The doors opened on June 9th, 1999 and have been open since.
We are dedicated to offering only the finest and freshest foods. We have also taken great care in assembling a team of only the best chefs, and experienced kitchen, dining, and bartending staff.
